Meal Packing Success
For this month’s youth event we headed to Feed My Starving Children for a meal packing session. Our packing session participants packed a total of 165 boxes, which equals 36,640 meals. That is enough to feed 97 kids for a year! After packing, we headed to Dairy Queen for a treat and conversation.
A Morning of Joy
We had our first Sunday School Summer Fun for our Sunday school-aged friends the morning of June 26th. We enjoyed yoga, diving into a Bible story, projects, snacks and time together. Watch for another event to come soon!
NOLA Bound!
On July 15th, 9 youth and 3 chaperones will board a plane to head to the ELCA National Youth Gathering in New Orleans. We will spend 4+ days at the Gathering centered around the theme Created to Be, based on Psalm 139:14. While there, we will participate in a Synod Day, Interactive Learning Day, and Accompaniment Day where we will lend our hands to help various places in New Orleans. Each evening will conclude with a Mass Gathering at the Smoothie King Center filled with speakers, music, and worship. We will also enjoy some sightseeing, a scavenger hunt, and local cuisine!
