Confirmation and Sunday School Are in Full Swing!

We have 24 youth, grades 6-9, signed up for confirmation this year. We kicked the year off with a parent/youth meeting and now are regularly meeting each Wednesday for pizza, lessons, and small group time.

There are 20 children signed up for Sunday school which is held during worship service. We begin each time with music followed by the story and short project. We usually follow the same story that is preached in the sermon. Children are still invited to register and attend at oklutheran.org/youth.

Blessing of the Backpacks

If your child missed the blessing of the backpack, have them find me (Christina) so I can give them a fruits of the spirit bracelet. We talked about how God is always with us (even in school), and we can see him in action all around us by looking for the fruits of the spirit.

Youth Night Kick-Off

The first youth event of the new school year was a lively one! We set a record attendance with 27 kids joining in the fun. We made blankets for kids at Camp Noah, had an active game of extreme Pictionary, and enjoyed many delicious desserts.
