Opportunities for service abound within our community, with our ministry partners, and out in the world. Through hands‑on service and financial support, we join these partners in living out our mission.

Amazing Grace Lutheran Church
Amazing Grace Lutheran Church, located in New Brighton, was founded in 2018 to bring the Gospel to the Hmong community. We support this local church as it brings faith and community to the Hmong people of New Brighton

Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative
Beacon believes our many faiths call us to help create more equitable communities where all people have a home. They work to provide stable, affordable housing for people in our region. Oak Knoll is part of a collaboration of 100+ congregations that advocate with state leaders for affordable housing.

The Gathering
Twice monthly, this group provides Alzheimer's respite care at Oak Knoll with activities for those experiencing memory loss and gives respite to their caregivers. Participants enjoy five hours of fun, learning, meals, and community. It’s a place where friendships are made and kindness is shown to all.

Global Refuge
We support this organization as they welcome and support refugees and migrants entering the United States. Global Refuge helps newcomers navigate a new country, find housing, and begin building a new life. They support refugees in securing employment, enrolling in school and English classes, and connecting to medical care and community resources.

ICA (Intercongregational Communities Association)
ICA has been in existence for 40 years, helping neighbors who find themselves struggling make ends meet. Oak Knoll helps many of these neighbors by collecting donations year-round, including produce from our Sharing Garden.

LPGM
(Lutheran Partners in Global Ministry)
LPGM provides access to quality education for people at the margins –especially women and girls. It works with global partners to listen, respond, and bear witness to local needs and priorities. Oak Knoll is currently sponsoring the education of 10 students in India.

LSS
(Lutheran Social Services)
LSS is Minnesota's largest nonprofit social service organization, serving 1000s of Minnesotans each year. They provide a wide range of services, including housing assistance, financial and employment counseling, mental health counseling, and resettlement services that inspire hope, change lives, and build community.

LWR
(Lutheran World Relief)
This international organization focuses on sustainable development projects and disaster relief and recovery. When disasters strike—pandemics, tsunamis, hurricanes, droughts, or earthquakes—our support helps LWR respond quickly and effectively.

Oak Knoll Christian Preschool & Childcare
Oak Knoll operates a nonprofit preschool and child care center for the community. They serve young children and families, offering quality care and early education rooted in Christian values.
The preschool is accredited by NAEYC and has achieved the highest rating by Parent Aware.

Our Saviour's Housing
Our Saviour's provides emergency food and shelter for people who are homeless. They provide a bed, three meals a day, and supportive resources. Ocassionally, our children and youth will pack snack packs and deliver them for residents to have food throughout the days.

PCYC
(Plymouth Christian Youth Center)
PCYC is a community-based organization that exists to benefit children, youth, families, and adults through programs of education, cultural arts, human services, and community building in North Minneapolis. Each year Oak Knoll collects donations for their annual children's gift sale where kids can shop for family Christmas presents for free

The Sandwich Ministry
Oak Knoll supports this ministry by preparing hundreds of sandwiches each month. Sandwiches are distributed to homeless neighbors on the streets and in shelters throughout the Twin Cities.
