Council Update

Greetings to all Oak Knoll members and friends, and happy fall! The leaves are starting to change and the windows at night are open for some very nice sleeping.

We had to postpone our council meeting until after this newsletter was due, so just a brief update on council happenings:

The Fall Fest Sunday service on the 17th of this month was a big success! We had a bounce house for the kids and temporary tattoos for kids of all ages – ask Pastor Jay about the “tatt” he got on is cheek. Also, the Heavenly Burritos truck was on site with great tasting burritos! All in all, a great morning and great weather!

The new roof over the preschool is complete before the rains and cold are upon us.

If you haven’t checked it out yet, please check out the “Knoll” podcast. You may find the link on the Oak Knoll website. Already we’ve had some great folks presenting great programs!

Vicar Bryce was installed this past month and Matt Cerrar was also installed as our new Music Director. The choir kicked off the season on the Sept. 17th service and many more great services are coming with lots of instrumental inclusions as well. More information to come in next month’s newsletter so for now, make it a great and colorful fall!

Peace,

John Burman

Council President
