January Ministry Partner- Amazing Grace Lutheran Church

Amazing Grace Lutheran Church seeks to bring the Christian faith to the Hmong people living in our northern suburbs and they are an extension of Oak Knoll’s mission to grow God’s kingdom.

Approximately 60,000 Hmong people call Minnesota home. The Twin Cities area has one of the largest urban concentrations of Hmong in the United States. It is estimated that about 30 to 50 percent of the Hmong are associated with a Christian church.

Amazing Grace was formed in 2018 to bring the Gospel to the Hmong community and are affiliated with ELCA. Through their ministry they identify, train and encourage Hmong men, women, and youth to serve God, and to partner with Hmong Christians from other denominations in serving the Hmong community. Pastor Nhiabee Vang has been vital to this ministry and brings the amazing grace of God to their congregation. They are located at St. Philips Lutheran Church in Fridley.
