Beacon Housing Update

In a continuing effort to keep the congregation informed on the issue of affordable housing, the Oak Knoll Beacon Housing Committee likes to share relevant housing articles, information and events. 

“Light the Way” Beacon Annual Fundraiser

On September 9th, 2025,  Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative held their annual fundraiser. Over 600 people attended. Beacon has been an Oak Knoll mission partner for a number of years. A number of Beacon committee members attended the fundraiser. Pastor Jay was one of two pastors asked to speak to emphasize the importance of Beacon's efforts to promote supportive assistance for those in need of affordable housing. Other Beacon representatives spoke as did people who had been helped by Beacon to have a chance to improve themselves through Beacon assistance. Beacon's vision is that all people have a home. Beacon's vision is: as a collaborative of congregations united in action we create homes and advance equitable housing.
