In a continuing effort to keep the congregation informed on affordable housing issues, your Beacon Housing Committee would like to share pictures and an article on the opening of a new Beacon affordable housing project Vista 44 in downtown Hopkins.
Pictures are of the grand opening attended by Oak Knoll Beacon committee members Jonathan and Jeanette Strandjord and Rick and Deb Johnson.

As a neighbor of Vista 44 in Hopkins, Deacon Francis Tangney from St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church watched Beacon’s family-supportive housing get built from the ground up.
As an early supporter of these new homes, Deacon Francis helped pave the way for Vista 44 by attending land use meetings, advocating for these homes to his neighbors, and donating supplies to future residents. The Deacon said this at the grand opening:
A great thing about having Vista 44 in Hopkins is that it gives 50 families an affordable option which didn’t exist before our efforts made it happen.
