As we begin to plan for another upcoming holiday season, many of us gather with heavy hearts as we remember individuals in our lives who have died and whose presence we miss.
As a way to honor and give thanks to God for all the Saints, we invite you as people of Oak Knoll to purchase an ornament in honor/memory of your loved one(s) and bring it to church between Wednesday, December 4th and Christmas Day. As you bring your ornament(s) to church, simply fill out one of the tags provided (naming who the ornament is given in memory of, and from whom) and hang it on the Remembrance Tree located in the Rose Room. If you contributed an ornament in a previous year, these will also be hung on the tree each year.
As a community of faith, we are then encouraged to go and see the new ornaments that are hung and as we do so, remember and give thanks to God for all the saints, and for the Good News of God’s grace, mercy, and love.
