Pew Sisters

Pew Sisters is a group open to all the women of Oak Knoll (you don’t need to be an OK member to join). We meet on Monday mornings from 9:30-11 and study books and scripture, usually completing 2-3 studies each year.  Our group opens each week with a time of sharing and community building, then moves into the study. We will

begin for the fall on Monday, September 15th.

Our first study this year will be looking at the story of the Prodigal Son (Luke 15:11-32) using the book, The Return of the Prodigal Son by Henri Nouwen. The book explores the story using a picture of this parable painted by Rembrandt. Through Nouwen’s words and Rembrandt’s painting, we hope to come to new understandings of the story from the perspective of the prodigal, the elder brother and the father.
