Outdoor Worship Survey Results

Thank you for taking the time to complete our Outdoor Worship Feedback Form! Your feedback is being considered as we plan for future worship services and community engagement opportunities at Oak Knoll.

Many comments expressed the value of worshiping outdoors as a connection to God’s Creation, a testimony to our neighbors, and a fun, family-friendly alternative to our regular worship services. The survey results also showed that 36% of our community members are deterred from coming to Sunday worship when it is held outside. These results help us understand that, while highly valuable to some individuals and families, outdoor worship services can be less accessible and inclusive to some members of the congregation.

Each outdoor worship service offers its own challenges, from moving our sound system outside, to traffic noises and unpredictable weather. In light of all of these factors, we will be considering ways that we can better provide a fun outdoor experience to our congregation and community in the future, whether that be as Sunday worship or other seasonal opportunities.
