Oak Knoll Christian Preschool & Childcare - September 2025

We wrapped up summer with some special activities. In August we held a soccer camp with Soccer Shots. The children learned basic soccer skills and played a game of scrimmage.  We also welcomed Bruce “The Bug Guy,” a local entomologist who brought in several different types of insects for the children to learn about. Some of the insects the children they children learned about were tarantulas, millipedes, and hissing cockroaches. A few of our children were brave and held the tarantula. We also ended our summer music classes with Ms. Michaela. The children enjoyed learning about different genres of music and signing with Ms. Michaela.

In August our teachers met for in-service learning and to prepare our classrooms for preschool. We trained in various topics including pediatric first aid, mental health and preschoolers and current health policies. This was also a time for us to connect as a staff. This summer we welcomed new teachers to our program: Ms. Kathie, Ms. Lillian and Ms. Tiffany.

In September we will host our open house visits for families to come in and visit their child’s classroom, meet the teachers and some of the other families in our program. Beginning September 8th, we will welcome 52 children for preschool and/or child care! We are looking forward to the start of the new school year. This fall marks our 21st year as a preschool program.
