Last month we learned about zoo animals and forest animals through various art projects, books and through play. We also enjoyed our unit on fairy tales, sharing several classic stories and using our imagination to retell our favorite stories using puppets.
In July, our friends continued with our weekly soccer lessons with the group Soccer Shots and we participated in Jammin’ with Jesus with Intern Pastor Ben.
In August, we will wrap up our Fun Friday option for preschool families and we will say goodbye to our friends that are kindergarten bound as we prepare our classrooms for the new preschool year ahead. Our program will be closed August 17th and 18th for staff to complete pediatric first aid and other required training. We will be hosting open house visits in early September, families will be able to tour the classrooms, meet the teachers and other families during this time.
We will also say goodbye to our classroom aide Sela Myers in August. Sela joined our teaching team in June and has been a wonderful addition to our program. With Sela returning to high school next month, she will no longer be available to work in the afternoons in our program.
Looking ahead, we still have open preschool and child care spots for children ages 2-5 with different scheduling options available. If you are interested in learning about our program, please reach out to Kathryn Glorvick at firstname.lastname@example.org.
