Ministry Partner of the Month: The Gathering

The Gathering program is a partnership between Avinity Senior Living and Oak Knoll Lutheran Church that provides respite and support for caregivers of family members experiencing early-to mid-stage memory loss while their loved ones enjoy engaging programming in a safe and welcoming setting. 

The Gathering meets on the first and third Thursdays every month. Oak Knoll began hosting this program in 2008, and provides the participants with five hours of learning, fun and treats. It is a place where friendships are made, and kindness is shown to all!

Many, many thanks to you for your support through providing treats (you can sign up at the Welcome Desk), volunteering, and financial support through Ministry Partner of the Month. 

Are you interested in volunteering at The Gathering? The commitment is minor as the program only runs on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month from 10am-3pm. Training is provided.  Please reach out to the Church Office at churchoffice@oklutheran.org if you are interested in volunteering.
