Beacon Interfaith Housing Collaborative is our Ministry of the Month during May. Our congregation is one of about one hundred faith communities that comprise Beacon. Beacon believes that safe, affordable homes provide the basis for stable families and thriving communities. Beacon congregations combine their energy and resources to advance equitable housing policy, provide funding for supportive services, and support the creation of new, deeply affordable homes.
Vista 44 Household Item Drive
Vista 44 is a Beacon Housing property that is located in Hopkins. Vista 44 now provides rental housing to families who make less than $30,000 a year and provides individualized on-site support services through Volunteers of America. The tailored and individualized support helps children do better in school, parents increase income, and families improve long-term health.
We can help support the residents who live there by fulfilling their request for needed household goods.
They have requested the following items as most-needed:
· toilet paper
· paper towels
· tissue boxes
There will be a bin in the Narthex during May to collect items. Our Beacon Team will deliver them to Vista 44 at the end of May. Thank you for generously sharing with our neighbors!
