Please join us Sunday, September 17th, right after worship, at 9:30am for our annual Fall Festival! This is a great chance for us to reconnect after the summer and share a delicious lunch—and it’s FREE! In addition to lunch, there will also be a bounce house and games for the kids.
Our food truck this year is Heavenly Burritos, a food truck operated by Hope Avenue Twin Cities. Hope Avenue TC is a non-profit organization and an outreach ministry in North Minneapolis serving those experiencing homelessness and addiction. Heavenly Burritos is their outreach ministry. It operates in North and Northeast Minneapolis serving hot, nutritious breakfast burritos and providing clothing and hygiene supplies. Oak Knoll is happy to partner with Heavenly Burritos on an ongoing basis by providing kitchen space for burrito assembly. Also, the youth of Oak Knoll have in the past volunteered their time and skills to assemble burritos as a service project. We are very happy that Heavenly Burritos will be part of our Fall Fest, serving burritos (including vegetarian). Oak Knoll will provide additional food and beverages.
Also joining us is Armor of Yah. Armor of Yah's soap is often referred to as the “Soap of Hope”. The owner and founder has a vision to share: if a person is given the skills and abilities to make their own soap, they are also given the ability to help support themself. This in turn gives them hope. We encourage everyone to pick up some soap in exchange for a free-will offering. Join us for worship on Sunday, September 17th at 9:30am and enjoy food and fun for all ages!
