My oh my how time flies by! I can hardly believe that it is already February!
January was a quiet month after the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. It has also been busy at the same time. We had our Annual Meeting this month, where we got to celebrate our highs over the last year and get excited about our ministries to come. I got to help plan the Vatican Unveiled Trip to the Mall of America. It was such an amazing time seeing so many different church history artifacts. I took on a new role as the coordinator for the Hospitality Team. It has been great to utilize some of my skills from the restaurant industry into my ministry as I work with such an amazing group of youth in our church. And I preached one of my hardest sermons so far this month. I am eternally grateful for all of the feedback and constructive criticism that you all have given me about that sermon. It really does help me in developing my preaching skills and my pastoral vocation.
There is a lot coming up for us here at OKLC! We start our Lenten season in only a few short weeks! I am looking forward to the contemplative journey we will go on together. I am getting ready to start planning my internship project. I will also have the chance to attend my first Conference Assembly this month.
I continue to be ever grateful for the support of Oak Knoll Lutheran Church. You all are a blessing to my ministry.
God’s peace be with you all,
Vicar Chantal
