Birth of Jesus at Dinner & Family Night
During our first Dinner & Family Night, we welcomed several confirmation parents, students, Sunday schoolers, and their families. After enjoying dinner together, we broke into groups to read about the birth of Jesus. Then, each group was challenged to depict part of the story using a unique set of art supplies. It was a fun time—thanks to everyone who attended!
Spark Bible Milestone
Congratulations to Harriet Wandrei for receiving her Spark Bible in October. We’re excited for you to start exploring the Bible and learning all about God’s love for each of us.
Stole Making
As part of the requirements for being confirmed, our 9th and 10th graders create a faith statement and a stole. Many of them gathered together to get creative before the big day.

On Sunday, October 26th, seven of our 9th grade youth and three 10th graders participated in the Affirmation of Baptism where they declared for themselves that they will live out the promises that were made for them by their parents and sponsors at their baptisms.
Congratulations to Emily Anderson, Ivy Black, Roman Black, Josalyn Crowell, Brooklyn Hartneck, Sonja Leppa, Daniel Lukis, Sydney Rippberger, Makenzie Ross, and River Vickerman.
Youth Halloween Event
We had a record youth night with 25 youth showing up to carve pumpkins! We also enjoyed a great potluck with lots of treats. This year's contest categories included scariest and most creative.

UPCOMING CYF EVENTS:
OUTSIDE EVENT – Advent Family Retreat – December 5-7th
Luther Crest is holding a family retreat open to all ages. The whole family can join them for a weekend of fun games, worship, crafts, and advent themed devotionals! Get cozy by our fireplaces and stay together in our beautiful cabins by the lake and woods! A Friday night snack, Saturday breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snack, and Sunday brunch will be provided! Check in is Friday at 7pm and closing worship is Sunday at 11am! Reach out to Christina Black if you’re interested.
Butter Braid Summer Camp Fundraiser!
The summer campers are once again selling Butter Braids to help raise money for 2026 camps. The youth will be taking orders following church October 26th, November 2nd, and November 9th. You can also order directly online. All proceeds will go directly to help fund summer camp. Orders can be picked up at church after November 24th. Orders are due by November 10th, so order today!
