Confirmation and Sunday School are in Full Swing
There are 17 youth, grades 6-8, signed up for confirmation this year. Our first class was a parent and youth dinner and meeting. Each Wednesday we meet for pizza, lessons, and small group time.
Sunday school kicked off and is held during worship service, with 18 children registered. We begin each time with music with Matt, followed by the story and short project. On our first day together, we talked about creation and how we are all God’s masterpieces. Children are still invited to register and attend at oklutheran.org/youth.
Blessing of the Backpacks

If your child missed the blessing of the backpacks, have them find me (Christina) so I can give them a backpack keychain. We talked about how wherever you go, God goes—even to school!
Youth Night was Blazin’
It was a great turnout and fun night for our back-to-school bonfire. After eating, pickle ball, and conversations, the youth played a massive game of capture the flag (boys versus girls). We ended the night with s’mores!
