Sunday School Dinner & Family Night
Sunday schoolers and their families once again enjoyed a mixing of the ages with a shared dinner during Wednesday night confirmation. After, we headed as a group to talk about being thankful. Our next Dinner & Family Night will be January 10th.
Fruits of the Spirit Milestone
Congratulations to our first-grade friends Lillian Berg, Weston Henning, Savannah Arroyo, and Eleanor Heyne for receiving their Fruits of the Spirit book Maybe God Is Like That Too. In this book a young boy asks his grandma where God is in their city. She invites him to pay attention to where he sees the fruits of the Spirit. It is our hope that when these kids read this story, they will also learn that where there is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control, there too is God.
Sunday Schoolers Singing in Church
Vicar Jennifer and Zoe Weiser led a new song, and the congregation and Sunday schoolers echoed. It was a beautiful rendition of The Lord’s Prayer. If you missed it, check out the video on our Youtube page.
Packing Meals
We had more than 15 youth and parents spend an evening at Feed My Starving Children this month to help pack meals for children in need. The entire packing session packed enough meals to feed 55 children for a year. (It costs just $106 to feed one child for an entire year!)
Variety of Yummy Pies
There were plenty of tasty pies and lots of good company at the Movie and Pie Night the Sunday before Thanksgiving.
Butter Braid Fundraiser
The youth are selling butter braids to help raise money for summer camp. The sale closes on Thursday, December 5th, so get your orders in now. You can order online today. The braids will arrive by December 19th, just in time for the holidays.
Calling All Shepherds and Angels
As we have for years, we are looking for children to play shepherds and angels during the Christmas Eve services. There are no speaking roles. They are just asked to dress up in provided costumes and walk in during the Christmas reading. All aged children are welcome. Sign up to participate now!
