Curious Readers

Curious Readers is an online group that studies different theological books throughout the year. We choose books that are accessible and thought-provoking. Each week we read one chapter of the book and then questions are posted to our email group. Over the course of the week, people answer some or all of the questions, and group discussion ensues. This group will begin for the season the week of February 9th.

This winter/spring we will be reading Sarah Bessy’s book, Field Notes for the Wilderness.  The New York Times described Bessey and this book this way:  she has been trusted by thousands of people to pursue a reconstruction of faith centered on compassion, truth, and inclusion. Bessey has found a deeply underserved and underestimated remnant in the wilderness of Christianity who are still devoted to Jesus, deeply rooted in the Gospel, fascinated with Scripture, and committed to reimagining their faith.

If you are interested in joining Curious Readers, please let Pastor Michele know (pastor.michele@oklutheran.org). The book is widely available.
