Council Update

Greetings fellow OK members!

The Congregational Council met on June 11th for a combined May/June meeting.  Much of our discussion was about continued improvements and maintenance to our church property. Work continues securing a bid for repair of our EIFIS (Don’t know what that is? Neither did I. It’s the stucco-like siding above the brick on the outside of the building.) This will be a big project. Several smaller projects are also in process. The front office is starting to show its age. The Council approved a plan to update the cabinets and desktops. We also discussed the plan for new security cameras for the preschool entrance and the front of the church. Also, an update to our wifi is needed to improve access for our outdoor services which we enjoy in the Summer. The council will not meet in July (summer break,) but will resume our work in August.
