Too Young To Be Old..........
The "mid-life" Adult Social Group has finally chosen a name -- we will heretofore be known as
TY2BO (Too Young to be Old).  In celebration of our new name we're going bowling!!!  Get out the bowling shirts (or go find one at the Thrift Store) and save Saturday February 21 for our bowling extravaganza.  we will meet at Park Tavern on Louisiana and Highway 7 in St. Louis Park at 7pm.  Don’t forget to wear a bowling shirt if you have one.  Cost is $13 per person and includes shoes.

Yoga.............

Yoga will begin again at 7:00pm on Monday January 12.  We welcome anyone who would like to join for this program which is a great balance of gentleness and intensity.  Our instructors help each person adjust the moves for any level of fitness and ability.  We have also been blessed to have some of our parents bring their children with them -- this has been great for the class (and we think for the kids).  Please feel free to bring your children (grade-school and older), you spouse, your parents, your friends, but most of all yourself to yoga.  You won't regret it.  Classes are $40 per 6 week session and $10 if you just want to drop in for a week.  Children are free (with a parent).

Join Our Choir!

The Oak Knoll Choir always welcomes new members for all parts. We sing several times a month and practice on the Wednesday evenings before our performances. You are welcome to join us for a Sunday, a Season, or for the year. If you would like to be on our email list, please contact our interim choir director-- Patty Bjorklund at pattybjorklund@gmail.com  or call the church office.

Our Oak Knoll Book Club meets monthly on the fourth Monday of each  month of the school year at 12:30-2:00 pm in the church library.  One of our members leads the book discussion and another brings goodies. We read a wide variety of books.  Here are the book selections for 2009:

December 2008 - No Meeting
January 26 - PLAIN TRUTH -by Jodi Picoult
February 23 - WISH YOU WELL- by David Baldacci
March 23 - PEOPLE OF THE BOOK - by DGeraldine Brooks
April 27 - COLORS OF THE MOUNTAIN - by Da Chen
May 18 - (Date change) - THE KABUL BEAUTY SCHOOL - by Deborah Rodrigues.

These books are all available at Hennepin County Libraries. We invite anyone - young, old, members, non-members, to join us.  You will read some good books (and some you may not like), and, hopefully, enjoy the discussions about them.  If you have any questions please contact Marj Harn.
